The Asian Games

The Asian Games, referred to as the Asian Games, is the largest multi-sport event in Asia, held every four years. There are Asian Summer Games, Asian Winter Games, Asian Youth Games, Asian Disabled Games, Asian University Games, Asian Beach Games, Asian Indoor Games and Asian Martial Games. In general, the Olympic Council of Asia announced that the Hangzhou Asian Games is scheduled to be held from September 23 to October 8, 2023, and the name is still the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022. The Executive Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) announced on May 6 this year that after full discussions with the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee, the 19th Asian Games scheduled to be held in Hangzhou, China from September 10 to 25, 2022, will be postponed. The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has decided to formally invite Oceanian countries to participate in the 19th Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou in 2022, including amateur boxing, rowing, baseball and softball, horse racing, fencing, handball and sailing. The track and field competition of the Hangzhou Asian Games will be held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium.

Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium is located in Binjiang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, in the southwest of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center, the model selected lotus as the prototype, consisting of 28 large petals and 27 small petals, the stadium was laid in 2009, completed and put into use in 2019, as the main venue of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games to hold the opening and closing ceremonies. The first floor of the stadium of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center has a sports competition room, and in order to "maintain the stadium with the pavilion and use it after the game", the Hangzhou intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Center, the Hangzhou Mass Cultural Activity Center, and the new museum of China Seal Art have been introduced. The second floor is equipped with a ring platform, and is connected with the second floor platform of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Tennis Center "Little Lotus"; There are 86 cabins on the fifth floor. In view of the pre-match warm-up needs of athletes, there is also a warm-up hall of more than 3,000 square meters in the stadium, and a 60-meter long track.

The stadium covers an area of 430 mu (286,700 square meters), with a total construction area of 229,000 square meters, a total of six floors above the ground and one underground floor, with 80,800 seats, and a designed service life of 100 years.
